Modio was most likely shut down due to the drop in Xbox 360. With Microsoft eventually planning to disband 360 Online there really isn't a point to have it anymore probably just a waste of money to keep it running I would assume.
Modio is a tool from which you will be able to modify your games and saved games on Xbox 360 from the convenience of your personal computer, using a stick drive or any other kind of storage device to access the files from one hardware to another.
On top of being able to modify files of tons of games, one of the most interesting uses of Modio is that it will allow you to access an online database of games that are played all throughout the world, from which you will be able to download all the saved games that you want.
Once you download the games all you will have to do is transfer them to the storage device and put them inside your console. In this way you can have a character in Borderlands 2 at level 50 in a matter of minutes! And it will be so easy that this can be done in a matter of a few clicks!
Modio is a tool that is very interesting for regular users and players on Xbox 360, that will probably want to try a wide variety of its functions. Also, thanks to its easy to use interface you will not have to go through multiple tutorials or read manuals at all.
