- Jul 10, 2019 I have just created a simple website that will tell you if your switch is patched or not by checking its serial number, you can find it at ismyswitchpatched dot com (as a new member I cannot use hyperlinks) It works by inserting the first 10 characters of the serial number, it is not necessary to insert the full serial.

Jan 11, 2018 Just got myself a Xenoblade Pro Controller. I was wondering why it doesn’t show serial number in Switch settings like joycons do? It’s connected to dock with USB cable and charging.
Timeline:
5/20 - Purchased controller 5/30 - Sent in controller (didn't have to speak to anyone, or really explain the issue. I just went through the steps on the site and printed the shipping label). Shipped the controller the same day.
5/31 - Nintendo received the controller.
6/6 - Receive an e-mail saying my package is on the way back (unsure whether they replaced or repaired it).
6/7 - Received a new controller. I didn't send in the USB-C cable, and received a new one. Best of all, this d-pad has no flaws, and operates perfectly.
Pretty much sums up my experience. I definitely recommend sending your controller in if you have the same problem.

Is there anyway to find the serial number of a pro controller?

I know that the serial number is listed on the plastic bag that originally wrapped the controller while in the box, but can you find it once you taken out the controller?
I only ask because I have a roommate and we have 3 pro controllers, I don't want to mix mine up with his if I ever need to sell it or send it in for repairs.
I tried looking in the settings on the Switch while the pro controller was connected via USB, but couldn't find anything.
I swear I looked everywhere and couldn't find it. So I'm hoping I'm just blind and it is pretty easy to see.
