A friend of mine has this gun he knew nothing about, other than it was made in China and is 9mm Luger. He has had it for a while and got it from some family member years ago. He mentioned it and I told him I help find out what it was. When he brought it over I recognized it as a Tokarev.
But there are almost no markings. I researched it and believe it is a Model 213. It is all matching numbers and has two matching mags.
The import stamp is “VALLEY GUN LA CA” in small letters on the front strap of the grip.
“Made in China” is stamped on the left of the slide.
The serial number is on the left of the slide and the frame. The last 4 digits of the # are on most of the other small parts.
Triangle 66 is on the left frame. I believe this means factory 66.
Front top of the trigger guard is marked with a “D” on the left and a “T” on the right.
The mags are short and the mag well has a spacer.
No other marks are there. No model #, no caliber, no 'Norinco' mark.
Am I correct that this is a 213? If so, why no other markings like the 213’s I have seen on line? Could it be an early import?
I also cannot find any reference to Valley Gus in Los Angelos.
Based on what I have seen, I place the value around $200. Does that sound reasonable? Any help would be apprecated thanks.
